Produced by Open Planet Studios and See Through Stories, in collaboration with Capacity Foundation, THE CHIEFS is a powerful documentary showcasing the story of one of the most respected Indigenous leaders of the Brazilian Amazon, Cacique Álvaro Tukano. The film premiered at the UN’s COP30 climate summit and captures Cacique’s fight, alongside his people, to protect their ancestral lands against illegal deforestation, whilst inspiring viewers to connect to a way of living in greater harmony with nature.

Featuring top voices in science and conservation, including André Hoffman, Johan Rockström, Eva Zabey, Grethel Aguilar and Marco Lambertini, the film is a first-of-it’s-kind, providing a fresh insight on the nature agenda and showing that a nature positive future is not only possible – it’s urgent.
