Synopsis
The Golden Temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib, is a Sikh temple located in Amritsar, Punjab, India. It is considered the holiest gurdwara (a place of worship) and the most important pilgrimage site for Sikhs. The temple is known for its stunning architecture and is covered in gold leaf, which gives it its name. The temple is surrounded by a large pool of water, which is considered to have healing properties. It is a symbol of peace, unity, and equality.
