Synopsis
Pushkar Lake is located in the town of Pushkar, India. It is considered one of the most sacred lakes for Hindus in India and is surrounded by 52 ghats, or steps, where locals and pilgrims come to take a dip in the holy waters. In autumn each year, Pushkar hosts the Pushkar Camel Fair (or Kartik Mela), which is one of the largest camel fairs in the world. This vibrant and colourful fair attracts thousands of visitors - especially Hindu pilgrims - who come to see the camels, horses, and cattle that are brought in from all over Rajasthan for trading and selling.
