Synopsis
The Trift Bridge (Triftbrücke) is a pedestrian-only suspension bridge located in the Swiss Alps. It spans 170m at a height of 100m over the Triftsee, a lake that formed since 2001 due to the melting of the lower part of the Trift Glacier. Originally built to provide hikers with access to the glacier, the bridge now serves as a tourist attraction due to the glacier's significant retreat caused by climate change.
