Synopsis
TrashCon is a waste recycling company that is turning non-recyclable rubbish into reusable materials. Dumped waste and overflowing landfill sites are a major issue across India, as the rubbish is either burnt or left in public places, spreading diseases and acting as a public health hazard. TrashCon recycles waste and turns the non-recyclable waste into reusable building materials by shredding and compressing it into WoW boards. The process involves two machines, the TrashBot that separates municipal waste into recyclables and non-recyclables, and the WoW Recycler that compresses the non-recyclable waste in recycled sheets. TrashCons goal is to prevent 25,000 tons of waste entering landfill by 2030.
