Synopsis
In order to reduce deforestation some sustainable cattle ranchers are experimenting with high-density farming, keeping cattle on smaller plots and rotating them around fields. This gives the fallow land time to recover as pasture, so that further deforestation for pasture is not necessary. In order to comply with Brazil's Forest Code, farmers must also have a certain portion of their land forested.
