Synopsis

Formerly a Udaipur royal palace and an ammunitions depot, Arsi Vilas on Lake Pichola is an island sanctuary for birds including tufted ducks, coots, egrets, terns, cormorants and kingfishers. Pichola is an artificial freshwater lake created in 1362 to meet local drinking water and irrigation needs.
