The Mohan Mandir is a pavilion built on a tiny island in the lake by Jagat Singh I (r.1628-1652). It is one of several beautiful lake palaces at Udaipur used by the rulers of Mewar as summer residences and pleasure pavilions.Udaipur formerly the capital of the Mewar Kingdom, is a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan. Founded by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559, it’s set around a series of artificial lakes and is known for its beautiful royal residencesThe lakes around Udaipur were primarily created by building dams to meet the drinking water and irrigation needs of the city and its neighbourhood.
