Synopsis

Kibera (informal settlement) suffers from lack of sanitation infrastructure, poor water quality, and overcrowding. The area's proximity to local rivers and its low-lying location make the region particularly vulnerable to flooding during heavy rains, which are becoming more frequent due to climate change. When the waterways are not cleared of rubbish and waste, the polluted water can flood homes and lead to the spreading of diseases, harming people's health.
