Synopsis

Black rhinos (Diceros bicornis) are one of the two African rhino species. They are found in various regions of eastern and southern Africa, with their habitat including grasslands, semi-desert savannahs, and tropical bush lands. Black rhinos face a variety of threats, but poaching still remains a big threat, and as of 2023, they are still listed as 'Critically Endangered' on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
