Synopsis
Honey badgers (Mellivora capensis) are found in a wide range of habitats across Africa, the Middle East, and the Indian subcontinent, and they are opportunistic carnivores, preying on a variety of animals such as rodents, birds, and reptiles. These resilient creatures face threats from habitat degradation and persecution by humans. As of 2023, they are listed as 'Least Concern' on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
