Synopsis
The Gannel is a tidal river that opens out onto Crantock Beach at Newquay in Cornwall. Since January 2016 the Gannel estuary, as far as the tidal limit, has been part of a Marine Conservation Zone. It is an important location for migratory birds and the rare Giant Goby fish.
