Synopsis

The olive ridley sea turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea) is the smallest of the sea turtles. It gets its name from its heart-shaped, olive green coloured shell.During mass nesting some turtles die due to natural reasons and exhaustion. In 2016 the number of olive ridley sea turtles reported dead in Odisha increased with coastal development, climate change, and other sources of beach erosion being cited as the causes
