Synopsis

The Tatacoa Desert, also known as the Valley of Sorrows, is a unique geological formation located in the Huila Department of Colombia. Despite its name, it is not a true desert but rather a tropical dry forest covering an area of about 330 square km. It is characterised by its labyrinth-like rock formations, dry canyons, and striking colour contrasts.
