Synopsis
Clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) make their homes within the stinging tentacles of sea anemones, which provide protection from predators that typically avoid the anemone's toxic tentacles. The health of sea anemones is critical for clownfish, especially in terms of reproduction. Anemones that "bleach" due to periods of stress can cause clownfish reproduction to be severely affected In return.
