Synopsis
The Warty Frogfish (Antennarius maculatus) is a marine species known for its unique appearance and hunting behaviour. Characterised by their warty, textured skin covered in spinules and numerous fleshy protrusions, they are masters of camouflage, able to change colour to match their surroundings, and they move by walking on modified pectoral fins rather than swimming. These fascinating creatures are found in tropical and subtropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region.
