Synopsis
La Mano de Punta del Este is a large hand sculpture emerging from Brava Beach in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Created by Chilean artist Mario Irarrázabal in 1982, the concrete and plastic structure depicts five giant fingers rising from the sand. Known as "The Hand" or "Man Emerging to Life," it has become one of Uruguay's most photographed landmarks.
