Synopsis
The slinger sea-bream (Chrysoblephus puniceus), is a marine ray-finned fish. It is found exclusively in the southwestern Indian Ocean along Southern Africa.It inhabits coastal waters over rocky substrate and feeds on mollusks, crustaceans, worms, and small fishes.The slinger sea-bream is a protogynous species (starting life as female) that dwells in rocky and coral reefs on the southeastern African shelf.
