Synopsis
Plectorhinchus gaterinus, commonly known as the blackspotted rubberlip or African grunt, is a marine ray-finned fish. It is a type of sweetlips that belongs to the subfamily Plectorhinchinae—one of two subfamilies in the Haemulidae family of grunts. This species lives in the western Indian Ocean.It feeds at night on bottom-dwelling invertebrates.
