Synopsis
The chimpanzee, also known as the chimp, is a species of great ape native to the forests and savannahs of tropical Africa.These highly social animals share 98% of our genes, care for their young for years, and can live over 50 years.In their Central African forest habitat, chimpanzees spend most of their days in the treetops. They usually move on all fours when on ground, and use tools like sticks and leaves to gather food and water.
